Kerri M. Patterson
Kerri Patterson’s practice focuses on commercial transactions, with an emphasis on intellectual property and technology transactions. She has broad experience in patent prosecution, patent litigation, counseling, and due diligence across a wide range of technologies including medical devices, biotechnology, cosmetics, consumer products, optics, software, and semiconductors. Kerri leverages her experience with utility and design patents, utility models, trademarks, and trade secrets to provide worldwide IP strategies for clients.
Previously, Kerri worked as an Intellectual Property associate at a large national law firm. Prior to attending law school, Kerri worked in both clinical development and analytical research for an oncology drug development company, and as an analytical chemist for a medical device company.
Kerri received her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center, where she was an Articles Editor for The Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics and a judicial intern at the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York. She received her B.S. in Chemistry with College Honors from the University of California Santa Cruz. Kerri is licensed to practice in California, District of Columbia, Maryland, and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
